Matthew Saliman
Matthew Saliman, an Associate at Ward & Berry, brings extensive experience from his role as Assistant Attorney General in the Commercial Division, Government Contracts Section at the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia.
During his tenure at OAG, Matthew excelled in representing the District in bid protests and claims and appeals before the DC Contracts Appeals Board and DC Superior Court. Notably, he tried a claim against an architect for a failed construction project during a two-week trial in 2023. Matthew’s responsibilities also included legal sufficiency reviews of solicitations and contract packages.
A cum laude graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, Matthew’s academic achievements are complemented by internships at an international law firm in Rome, Italy, a law firm in Tysons, Virginia, and the Department of Commerce, as well as by serving as a member of the Journal of International Law.
Prior to entering law school, Matthew served as a client manager at a D.C-based law firm, gaining valuable experience across a diverse range of practice areas. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the American University.
