Nicholas Hopkins

Nicholas Hopkins is an Associate at Ward & Berry. Prior to joining the firm, he served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Government Contracts Section at the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia.
During his tenure at OAG, Nick represented District government agencies in all stages of the procurement process. This included advising agencies on the development and negotiation of solicitations and contracts, defending the District from bid protests, and litigating claims at the DC Contract Appeals Board. Nick’s litigation experience includes construction law, personal injury, and a particular focus on contractor suspension and debarment, among other matters.
Nick is a graduate of the George Washington University Law School and Saint Joseph’s University. Prior to attending law school, he worked in the financial technology and banking industries. He is licensed to practice in the District of Columbia.
